Ph.D. Postdoctoral Fellow – Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, BC, Canada

I’m currently a post-doctoral fellow in the Urban Studies program at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. Previously I worked for the Port of Helsinki in Finland. My comparative PhD research focused on the historical distinctiveness of urban waterfront redevelopments in Finland and Canada, outlined in her recent chapter Towards homogeneous waterfronts? Historical woodworking waterfronts in transition, published in Waterways and the Cultural Landscape. Her continuing research examines redevelopment, planning, and policy, particularly in relation to rapidly changing urban waterfront built environments and social activities in the Nordic countries and Canada.
