PhD Candidate, Hafencity University Hamburg, AIVP, Germany
I finished my architectural studies (Bachelor + Master) in 2011, both at Lisbon’s Technical University, with a Top 20 Master students price. During my studies I spent an Erasmus year in the IUAV in Venice, where I first studied the issue of relation between ports and cities. Then I joined as an architect the Schneider & Schumacher office in Frankfurt am Main in Germany. In 2014 I started a PhD in Urban Planning at Hamburg’s Hafencity University, with a research titled: “City and port? City or port? The coexistence between City and Port, the Lisbon Case”. I’ve published several articles and presented my work in different congresses. I’m also running a blog entitled www.theportandthecity.wordpress.com , where you can know more about my research experiences. Since 2016, I’m collaborating with the AIVP in several projects, including the Port Center step-by-step guide.
